For those who enjoy divine Channel Opening. A gift for a Loved One to uplift both Physical and Spiritual energy. An excess in Kapha is lifted and enhances Satwa.

Maha Vedana Shanti Transdermal Cream

Apply this cream where needed for vatagenic pain and deep thermogenesis.  Vata dosha governs all movement in the body.  When vata cannot move, when the physical channels (shrotas) are blocked, then pain is experienced.  This cream when applied topically, penetrates to the deep tissues and warms them.  As it warms the area, the shrotas (physical channels) begin to open and vata can begin to move again.  As blocked vata is released, the pain eases.

Maha Vedana Shanti Transdermal Cream enhances the agni (cellular metabolism) of all 7 dhatus (tissues) in the body without over-heating the channels and without aggravating pitta.  This allows all levels of the cellular system to "breathe better," and allows vata to regain it's normal flow.

Best Ways to Pacify Vata

The ancient Ayurvedic texts say, "No pain without vata."  To maintain good health and to help manage vatagenic pain when it comes up, it is important to do everything you can to balance vata

The first recommendation is regular routine.  Going to bed on time and getting up on time, day after day, month after month, will provide a stability to the body and the nervous system.  Vata is erratic when imbalanced; it responds well to regular routine.  The calming effect of regular routine can not be over-emphasized.

The next recommendation is to keep warm.  Don't let your feet get cold.  Don't eat cold food and drink.  You might think ice cream is vata-pacifying but it's not.  It is actually vata-aggravating.  Anything cold you put in your system closes the channels and blocks the flow of vata.  That's why you get a headache if you eat cold things quickly.

As you can see, keeping the channels open is essential for keeping vatagenic pain in check.  It is also important for immunity, and overall health.  To keep the channels open, it is important to eat fresh food with spices that help digestion so that ama is not formed.  When ama (partially digested food) is formed, its sticky nature blocks the channels and aggravates vata.  Also spices in your food, give a general warming effect to the whole body which helps to keep the channels open, and vata flowing.

Of course, avoiding leftover foods or pre-packaged foods is important too.  These foods are not easily digested by the body and result in ama right away.

Large beans, bananas, winter squashes and extra heavy foods are all known in Ayurveda as visthambi, (clogging to the shrotas).  Avoid these items in your diet and you will find your channels are more open, and your vatagenic pain is less.  Also, avoid the nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant) because these toxic plants block the vibrational channels (nadis), which can subsequently cause the physical channels (shrotas) to shrink.

Maha Vedana Shanti

This transdermal cream is Vaidya Mishra's most powerful cream for warming the deep tissues and addressing vatagenic pain.  It is quite heating, so use with caution.  You will love it's spicy aroma and warming effect.

As a transdermal cream, it holds the heat and gives a slow release.  It is ideal to use before bed, but may be used any time.

“Total Maha Vedana Shanti” (Vaidya Mishra’s proprietary herbal blend) with Prasarini, Clove, Guggulu, Capsicum, Boswelia, Poppy seeds, Grapefruit, Sweet orange in a base of organic Shea butter with Vegetable Glycerine, Beeswax and Jojoba oil

Calm the Senses With Tulsi

We have seen that both an open heart and a healthy, balanced mind are essential for good meditation.

It is also essential that the senses act in a balanced way when one wishes to meditate because the senses, which are often compared to wild horses, can quickly bring the mind's attention away from the light of consciousness to the objects of the senses.  Without proper balance, the senses will put the chariot easily in the ditch.

Tulsi has a unique prabhava (special property) of balancing the senses.  With the use of tulsi, the senses do not easily overwhelm the mind, and this contributes to good meditation.  Vaidya Mishra's Tulsi Transdermal Cream delivers the prabhava of tulsi and its powerful effect for deepening meditation.  This effect is enhanced by the fact that the tulsi cream is applied to the sthapana marma point between the eyebrows—the marma point which controls the senses.
