Vaidya Mishra's Knowledge Newsletter
The Sanskrit name, arjuna, literally means an everlasting vibration of "a" that never declines. The sound, "a," in Sanskrit represents consciousness, and arjuna is full of this divine intelligence of nature. In the physiology, the "a" value of life (or consciousness), is seated in the heart. It is through the heart that the body is connected to the soul.
Because the tree, arjuna, contains this "a" value in great abundance and is able to maintain it very well, it has the property of being hridya (good for the heart). In fact, it is considered by Charak to be the very best herb for the heart. You can learn all of the other properties of this divine herb in Vaidya Mishra's 21 minute audio lecture: Arjuna - Learn About the Best Herb for the Heart, available for instant download for $0.99.
One property that is important to note here is that arjuna is very good at pacifying pitta and kapha, but it is can aggravate vata. One of the reasons why Vaidya Mishra has encapsulated the pure vibration of arjuna in transdermal cream form is to deliver the hridya prabhava of arjuna (that it is good for the heart) without giving the vata aggravating properties of the crude herb. The gunas (physical qualities) of arjuna are ruksha (dry), sheetala (cool) and lagu (light). All of these gunas aggravate vata, but they are not brought over from the crude herb into the transdermal cream. Only the prabhava (special property), hridya (good for the heart), comes over.
And even if some of the gunas of the crude herb come into the cream, the shea butter base of this cream is sneha (unctuous) and guru (heavy). The shea butter naturally balances vata by counteracting the ruksha (drying), sheetala (cooling), and lagu (light) quality of this arjuna. In this way, the samyoga (balanced combination) and samskar (balanced processing) of arjuna yield a product that delivers strength to the physical, emotional and vibrational heart without creating imbalance in the process. This is the specialty of Vaidya Mishra's formulas.
You will feel the intelligence of arjuna as soon as you put it on your hands and feet. And you will love the divine aroma of this transdermal cream.

I have used this product for over 7 years, and its very gentle
and deeply nourishing. I use it in specific ways including
swiping down my spine to access many of the nerves leading
to the different organ systems. I use this as a heart specific
healing balm (when in its transdermal state), as well
as the actual "bark'/ (its natural state) in my herbal tea, to clean
so deeply even the fine workings/valves of the heart muscle.
