Triphala literally means ‘three fruits’ in Sanskrit.  This time-honored ancient formulation combines the fruits amla, haritaki and bibhitaki for balanced detoxification, rejuvenation, and to reestablish the intelligence of the channels of elimination.

Triphala is slightly heating to the body.  For the high-pitta physiology, use Triphala for High Pitta Tablets, or other gentler means of detoxification, such as Triphala Herbal-Memory Nectar, Prakrit Transdermal Cream, or Prakrit Herbal-Memory Nectar.

Directions

Due to individual bowel tendencies the number of capsules may vary from person to person.  You must determine your individual set point.  In general, start with two capsules at bedtime taken with room temperature spring water.  If two capsules give desired results stay at that level.  If not, increase the number of capsules by one per day, but do not exceed four capsules per day unless specifically directed by your SVA practitioner.  If excess bowel movements happen, reduce the number of tablets.
