Sweda (sweat) is the bi-product of the metabolic activity of the fat tissue (meda dhatu). The odor of sweat therefore depends on the purity or the impurity of the fat tissue (how much toxins it carries due to the diet that is consumed). Consuming foods with low sulfur content always helps (for example: onion and garlic have a higher content of sulfur). Indian Sarsaparilla is an ayurvedic herb traditionally known to purify the fat tissue. It also helps neutralize the odor of sweat regardless of its content. Neem helps the immunity of the skin. Manjishta neutralizes the reactivity of toxins that are being evacuated through the sweat glands. Sandalwood is a reputed cooling and stabilizing agent. Boswellia (Shallaki) helps to purify the fat tissue locally. Beeswax is a natural binder. Ylang-ylang is a natural deodorizer. Yasad Bhasma neutralizes the sweat and is a healthy and important mineral for transdermal absorption. The SVA Sugandh ayurvedic deodorant is a great non-toxic way to deodorize while getting local and safe side-benefits through the transdermal absorption of herbs.
"Sva Sugand Herbal Synergy" with Neem (Azadirachta indica), indian sarsaparilla (Hermidesmus indicus), Manjistha (Ruba cordifolia), Sandalwood (Santalum album), Boswelia Serrata, Yasad Bhasma (Zinc calx) in a base of bees wax and Sesame oil with Ylang-Ylang (Cananga odorata), Sweet orange and Grapefruit.

Yes, this deodorant take a while to absorb. The key is to only swipe once over the armpit, very gently. Let me tell you, I have been trying various natural deodorants over the last 15 years and have found nothing that works all day. Vaidya's product works and I can feel/see the effects of the detoxification on my bodies tissues. A funny side note: my daughter recently got poison ivy while we were traveling, we noticed the ingredients of this deodorant had zinc and neem in it, both really good for dying/healing poison ivy rash, and so we used it and it worked wonders! In fact, my daughter only wanted us to use this on her rash and nothing else!

I like it, but it does not absorb... It leaves a white film. Good probably for winter, when you wear long sleeve clothes.
