Peppermint (putiha in Sanskrit) is described by P. V. Sharma as katu (pungent), ushna (heating), rochana (unclouding the taste buds), dipana (enhancing digestion and metabolism), hanti shula (reducing colic pain).

Add one pinch of peppermint to your one or two liters of herbal tea mixuture given to you by your Shaka Vansya Ayurveda practitioner and sip throughout the day.
